We are happy to welcome SGP2010 in the convention center (Centre des Congrès) which is an events complex located in exceptional surroundings between the Rhône and the Parc de la Tête d'Or, not so far from Lyon Doua Campus. The original architectural design of this convention center provides modular, light and functional spaces and a range of quality services to satisfy every user's expectations. Luminous, transparent and functional, the convention center is located in the Cité Internationale, which is a city in the city, with its buildings following the curve of the river, offering a concept of urban development serving both the environment and economic growth.
The Cité Internationale is the tangible result of one of Lyon's most ambitious projects where the quality of the architecture and, above all, the public spaces are an essential part of it. The choice of one of the greatest contemporary architects, Renzo Piano, and landscapers, Michel Corajoud, to realise this site is an undeniable measure of its quality.
On this site, you will probably be tempted to visit the Contemporary Museum of Art, or walk inside the beautiful Parc de la Tête d'Or.
The Cité Internationale is served by several TCL buses that give access to Lyon city center and to the Part-Dieu train station in less than 20 minutes. You can also ride a Velo'v bike. The Cité Internationale is directly connected to the Lyon ring freeway offering an easy access for those coming by car from one of the three highways: Paris, Geneva, Marseille (see Travel).
On this pdf document, in addition to a detailed list of hotels recommanded by the Centre des Congrès, you will find a city map and a simplified map of Lyon public transportation services.
